Magazines Canada Paid Internship Initiative

About the 2018 Pilot Program

Be among the first magazine publishers in Ontario to be selected to pilot Magazines Canada’s paid internship program!

If you are an Ontario-based business-to-business magazine publisher interested in hiring a paid intern, you may be eligible for funding to cover 50% of the salary and payroll benefit expenses for a four-month full-time contract position.

This initiative, made possible through the generous support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation, is designed to connect Ontario magazine publishers with new, diverse, skilled talent while providing interns with the paid work experience, mentorship and industry contacts they need to build careers in the magazine sector.

Enrollment in the pilot is limited to 10 magazines, each hiring one paid intern for any four-month period between January and September 2018. Applications will be assessed on a “first come, first served basis.” We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible to secure a place in the pilot program and receive co-funding for a paid internship.

Simply complete the application form and submit it to Magazines Canada any time during the enrollment period, beginning December 5, 2017 and ending when the 10 co-funded internships have been allocated.

Please note: only business-to-business magazine members in good standing are eligible to apply to this pilot program.
