Magazines Canada is committed to ensuring that readers and consumers discover great Canadian content in Canadian magazines.
We collaborate with magazine publishers, retailers, out-of-store and digital channels, partner organizations and our membership to promote Canadian magazine content, increase sales of member magazines, and deliver key market insights to help magazines connect with readers and audiences.
Our circulation marketing initiatives market Magazines Canada member magazines to Canadian consumers through a combination of traditional and innovative channels, including: retail partnerships and promotions; out-of-store encounters; partnerships with events; and encounters in the digital space.
Magazines Canada also delivers national research on marketplace trends, readership and magazine consumer behaviour. As the leading association for Canada’s magazine media, Magazines Canada creates and shares vital research for the magazine sector (like the recent study “The Role of Magazines at Retail” in 2017) to help drive discoverability of Canadian magazines in a changing marketplace.
Our circulation marketing activities are informed by the expertise and input of Magazines Canada’s Circulation Marketing Advisory Committee, a group of engaged circulation marketers from within the membership of Magazines Canada and the former Circulation Management Association of Canada (CMC), which merged with Magazines Canada in 2017. The advisory committee serves Magazines Canada’s membership with a strong sense of the industry’s needs, advises Magazines Canada’s Board and staff, and helps set the direction and priorities of Magazines Canada’s circulation marketing initiatives.
