Queen Books is a Toronto bookstore that has an interesting story outside of the pages of the books or magazines it carries. It’s owned by Alex Snider and Elizabeth Burns. The store officially turned nine on April 8, the same age as Burns’ son—her water broke the same day the store opened. The owners of this bookstore met while working at another independent bookstore in Forest Hill Village. “We both had this vision of a general interest community bookstore that made people feel good coming in and to share our love of books,” Snider says.
