The Inventive Issue

Welcome to The Inventive Issue of Cover Lines, Magazines Canada’s monthly newsletter. After some very hectic times this fall, with many events and much to celebrate—the Magazines Canada Symposium, Word on the Street, Alberta Magazines Conference, Cover to Cover, the Special Measures for Journalism extension for THREE years and subsequent deadline on November 17, and much much more—we have fewer big events these last weeks of the working year. Which does not mean quiet times—far from it! It is time to think about what’s next, to plan more big stuff for the future—to get inventive!

In addition to internal projects like working on the budget and professional development (hosting an amazing webinar on boothing to help members plan for future festivals and trade shows), we have also been thinking about how to re-invent—or at least tweak—Cover Lines! Yes, the very newsletter you are reading, great as it is, could be EVEN better—we’re determined to make it so! Want to help? Please answer our very very short five-question survey—very fast to answer and we’d really love to know your thoughts. Plus you’ll reap the benefits in future, improved issues of Cover Lines. Everybody wins!
