Magazines Canada is pleased to announce the launch of the 2019 Paid Internship Program for Ontario Magazines, which provides Ontario-based publishers with funding to cover 50% of the salary and payroll benefit expenses for a four-month, full-time contract position. The 2019 program follows a successful Ontario pilot initiative in 2018.
Magazines Canada members in good standing that publish an Ontario-based magazine are invited to apply now for a paid intern through this program.
The 2019 Paid Internship Program for Ontario Magazines is part of a suite of programs designed to connect Magazines Canada members with new, skilled talent, and to provide emerging creators with the paid work experience, job training, mentorship and networking opportunities they need to build careers in the magazine sector.

Enrollment in the Paid Internship Program for Ontario Magazines is limited to 10 magazines, each hiring one paid intern for any consecutive four-month period that runs between July 2019 and February 28, 2020.
To apply, simply complete an application form and submit it to Magazines Canada any time during the enrollment period, beginning today, July 9, 2019 and ending when the 10 co-funded internships have been allocated. Applications will be assessed on a “first come, first served basis.” We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible to secure a place in the program and receive co-funding for a paid internship.
