Alberta Magazines Conference and Awards

FIPP Digital Innovators’ Summit
We’ve partnered with OMDC to attend the 10th annual Digital Innovators’ Summit (DIS) this month with a delegation of Ontario magazine media. DIS is an international conference on media innovation for publishers, marketeers and technologists. Check out the program—you’ll see some familiar faces, like Quartz’s Jay Lauf, our MagNet 2016 keynote speaker, in attendance! You can follow the summit on Twitter @DISummit and #DISummit.
Magazines in a Digital World
We’ve partnered with Interactive Ontario to host a half-day event on the digital evolution of publishing. There will be a series of panel discussions on how publishers large and small are using new platforms like virtual reality and video to reach their audiences. Also on the program: networking events, so that attendees from the publishing and interactive digital media worlds can get to know each other a little better. It’s going to be a fun morning, and it’s only $20 for MC members to attend!
