With the end of the year comes a new season of awards programs to celebrate your achievements!

The 2019 Sunburst Awards for excellence in Canadian literature of the fantastic are now open for submissions. Enter your short story, whether fabulist, fantasy, magic realist, science fiction, speculative, supernatural horror or surrealist, by January 31, 2019.

The Alberta Magazine Awards recognize extraordinary content produced by AMPA member magazines. The 2018–19 awards are now open for entries—submit your best work by December 3, 2018 to enter at the early bird rate! Submissions close at 4 pm (MT) on December 14, 2018.

The National Magazine Awards Foundation has announced the categories for the 42nd annual National Magazine Awards. The awards, celebrating excellence in magazine journalism and visual creation, open for entries on December 17, 2018.

The NMAF has also announced a new program this year honouring the best in Canadian magazine B2B publishing, National Magazine Awards: B2B! The inaugural awards will recognize individuals and editorial teams in 19 categories, and open for entries on January 3, 2019.
