The Word on the Street, Canada’s largest book and magazine festival, is looking for volunteers for the upcoming Toronto event on September 22–23, 2018.
Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the Toronto arts scene! Roles include pre-festival administrative tasks, author liaison positions, and on-site customer service. Volunteers typically work a four-hour shift on festival day, as well as attend short pre-festival orientations.
New in 2018: The Word on the Street is introducing programming on Saturday, September 22. Volunteers can sign-up for shifts on both the 22 and 23.
The Word on the Street is also expanding its Marketing Crew. Volunteers will still help spread the word about the festival, but now will also help improve the festival experience by gathering feedback from people on site.
More information on volunteer roles is available at thewordonthestreet.ca/toronto/get-involved/volunteer-registration.
To volunteer, visit kindnessconnect.com/wotsTO/wots-2018 and create a volunteer profile. Kindness Connect is free and easy to use—create a volunteer profile, select your desired shifts and your registration is complete!
If you have any questions regarding volunteering for the festival, please email volunteer coordinator Chelsea Dab Hilke at firstname.lastname@example.org.
