The 2021–2022 application guidelines and application form for the Aid to Publishers component of the Canada Periodical Fund are online now.

The deadline to submit your application is December 8, 2020.

Please also remember that 2021–22 marks the first year of the five-year transition of the Canada Periodical Fund to a modernized program, adapted to the digital era. What this means concretely for the Aid to Publishers component is that the mechanism by which your contribution(s) is calculated will gradually place less emphasis on print circulation and more emphasis on investment in creating original Canadian content.

For your 2021–22 contribution(s), 85% of your contribution(s) will be based on print circulation, while 15% of your contribution(s) will be based on your investment in creating content. Please consult the Department of Canadian Heritage’s backgrounder for more details about the transition period.
