2017 Business Media White Paper Reports on Industry Strength

The Business Media Leadership Summit is our annual event for Canadian senior business media executives. At the fifth Leadership Summit in February 2017, business media leaders gathered to share their experiences, learn from each other, and capture the essentials required for success in today’s B2B environment.

Industry consultants John Milne and D.B. Scott have prepared a white paper that captures the substance and, equally, the spirit of the Summit presentations, called “Moving Forward from a Position of Strength.” We invite the business media publishing community to read and download the white paper on our website today.

As the white paper and Summit make clear, the Canadian business media community has arrived at a crossroads it would have had a difficult time picturing just a few years ago. Ownership and operations have changed, and business media organizations are seeing success in revenue diversification. Diverse companies, under different ownership models, are investing in a wide range of categories.

The white paper explores not only the Summit conversations about content marketing, events, sales training, data and digital marketing, but also this visible confidence in the industry, based on a clear need for B2B-specific information delivery channels.

The Summit also featured Bo Sacks, the widely-recognized media industry observer and publisher of the world’s longest-running email newsletter, as its keynote speaker. A video of Bo Sacks’ keynote presentation is available to watch below, and at magazinescanada.ca/pd/business-media-leadership-summit.

The 2017 Business Media Leadership Summit was sponsored by the Alliance for Audited Media and Inovva by Equisoft, with key additional support made possible by the Ontario Media Development Corporation and the Business Media advisory group of Magazines Canada.
