Member Testimonials

Being a member of Magazines Canada has opened so many doors for us. As a smaller publication, we love being part of a wide network of incredible Canadian magazines and having access to various vital professional development opportunities. We’re also grateful for national distribution, which allows readers to find us, wherever they are.

– The Ampersand Review of Writing & Publishing

Through the years, Magazines Canada has cultivated a network of independent bookstores and newsstands that is unique in the country, and in doing so they’ve been supporting not only the arts, literary, and cultural magazine ecosystems, but arts and culture more broadly. They help keep Brick connected with readers, and they help keep those who make magazines connected with each other, and both of these things are so crucial.

– Laurie D. Graham, Publisher, Brick, A Literary Journal

A Magazine of Canadian Literature has participated in the distribution program since our inaugural membership in 1984. Due to this invaluable promotional opportunity our sales have steadily grown and we have established a greater presence in the public market square.

As our magazine issues are distributed by Magazines Canada, we have gained entry to augmented circulation (which otherwise would be unaffordable and impossible.) This has enhanced our presence on the aisle and in end-displays at Chapters/Indigo and numerous independent bookstores on the national scene.

As a literary and regional publisher, I can attest that we would not be able to accomplish our objectives or implement our business plan without the partnership with Magazines in getting our publications out to the reading public across this nation.

– Anne Burke, Literary Editor, Prairie Journal
